DESCRIPTION

Football Frontier is a FIFA 14 group and knockout competition for all first division football clubs that has their their real life stadium in the game. There are 32 teams that will play home and away games on each other like the UEFA Champions League. The difference is that there's a third place playoff between the losing teams at the semi finals. Wembley Stadium is the venue for the finals. Since this is neutral stadium for football clubs.

RULES

Teams must have their real life stadium i the game in order to participate regardless if the stadium is their current or past one.
Teams must be in the first division in order to play.
Teams will be assigned on either Western Conference or Eastern Conference based on their geographical locations.
Group A, B, C and D are for Western Conference teams.
Group E, F, G and H are for Eastern Conference teams.
The Finals and the third place playoff are both single legged games and will be held in Wembley Stadium.
The Knockout Bracket is still divided for two conferences and the finals will be contested between the best team from both conferences as well as the 3rd place playoff between the 2nd best team from each conferences.
The advancing will be determined via aggregate score.
In case of a draw in aggregate score, the game may result to penalty shootout with no extra time prior to that.
Only the finals and 3rd playoff can have extra time in case of a draw at the 90th minute.
No 2 or more teams from the same country will be placed at the same group. Except England and Germany because England has 5 teams and Germany has 7 teams.
With England and Germany are excepted from Rule 11, both countries can only place 1 to 2 teams per group.

FORMAT

32 teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 teams, will play home and away games to each other and the top 2 teams will advance to the Knockout Stage. Teams from from Mexico, Portugal, Spain, France and England (except Newcastle United) will be placed in Group A, B, C and D assigned for Western Conference teams. Newcastle United, teams from Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy and South Korea will be placed in Group E, F, G and H which is assigned for Eastern Conference teams. The Knockout stage is still divided between Eastern and Western Conference. Being West Bracket for Western Conference teams and East Bracket for Eastern Conference Teams. The advancing team will be determined via aggregate score, in case of a aggregate draw, the game will result in penalty shootout to determine the advancing team with no extra time prior to the shootout. 2 teams from different confidences can only face each other competitively at the finals and 3rd place playoff. The Finals and 3rd Place Playoff is single legged will result to extra time with or without penalty shootout in case of a draw at the 90th minute. The champion of the tournament may qualify for Kinako Community Shield while winner of the following tournament will provide the opposition.

Note: Olympique de Marseille was originally supposed to be a Western Conference team but the list end up having 17 teams and 15 teams per conference, so the solution was to move the team to the Eastern Conference since Marseille is most eastern team with a qualifying team.
